Day 11-12 Karijini to Cape Keraudren (Stopover in Marble Bar)
From Karijini we progressed east on dirt roads towards Australias hottest town, Marble Bar (161 consecutive days with temperatures above 37.8C). Marble Bar is a neat little town with not too much to offer except for few gorges and pools where Marble Bar pool was the most interresting. We stopped for a beer at Iron clad hotel, the only bar in town however a pretty cool one, and for lunch at Mad Clappin’ Harrys. We found a cute and free camping spot at Doleena Gorge, stayed the night and headed back to town the morning after for some ‘proper’ coffee. After a quick update to our website it was time to move on towards 80 mile beach and Broome. From Marble Bar onto another set of dirt roads, we reached Cape Keradruen and a most welcome Indian Ocean. Now it’s time for lights out. (Anna just realised the glowing lights in the dark are spiders)
